Hate is not good

This video is really good. The speaker talks about how the "left", the "liberals", the "progressives" really don't like Christians. He says that what they teach and believe is "a revolution against God, it's war on Christ. It's war on the unborn. It's war on the innocents. It's war on the family."

He says that these people really don't like Christian morality.

I have been reading a blog called Dammit Janet. Somebody called Fern Hill writes for this blog. She also has a twitter account. It seems to me that this Fern Hill is awfully hateful and mean to Christians and to pro-life people. And other people too, like politicians etc. And I wonder why that is so?

Then while I was watching this video, I thought this guy really seems to understand the "progressives" mentality. I'm pretty sure not all progressives are like this Fern Hill person. And that she is just an extreme example. But from what I've read on her blog, I think the speaker in the video is probably talking about people just like this Fern Hill. The video seems to explain very well the hate some of these extreme progressives have for Christianity and pro-life people.

I find it all rather strange that a loving religion like Christianity can be so hated by some people. These Christian haters must be very very unhappy. That's all that I can think of as a reason.

What my faith does for me

I feel so blessed to be a person of faith. It gives me so much comfort in times of hardship. In good times it allows me to be thankful for everything and everyone in my life. I pray to God and I trust that his promises will be fulfilled in my life. Seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened. I believe these promises to be true.

I sometimes feel so sad for those people who have no faith. How do they get through the tough times? Who do they thank for their blessings? I often wonder when I hear someone say, you don't have to believe in God to be a good person. That may be so. But can you be full of joy like I am when you don't believe in God?

There was a time when I abandoned my faith. I didn't feel joyous at all. That all changed when I reconnected with my God and again felt his love after so many years of absence.

I am greatly blessed.

All we need is trust in the Lord

I love this prayer. I repeat it whenever I need to renew my faith in God. Which is often. It especially helps when I struggle after reading about the horrors of abortion in this world.

I also pray it for the women who are suffering with an unexpected pregnancy. That they will see God's love in the child they are carrying and change their minds about abortion. And if they are unable to keep the child, that they put her up for adoption to a family that can and wants to adopt the child.

I know God will overcome the evil of abortion. In his own good time.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,And He shall direct your paths.Proverbs 3:5-6

The Armor of God

Ephesians 6:10-18 New International Version (NIV)

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Compare Donald Trump to other presidents

It looks like Donald Trump will be sunk because of his 2005 comments about women.

This is from Conrad Black in the National Post:
"The Billy Bush clip released Friday was extremely crude and boastful, almost disgusting for the seeker of the presidency of the U.S ., even though it was 11 years old. It was not as distasteful as the antics of a number of presidents, including JFK telling an intern to fellate his chief of staff and watching it in the White House swimming pool, and asking her to lie down in his official car so she would be invisible to the British prime minister (Harold Macmillan); Bill Clinton receiving oral sex in the Oval Office while ostensibly conducting government business on the telephone, or much of the routine conversation of Lyndon Johnson. Thomas Jefferson, who famously held the equality of all men to be “self-evident” was so pleasured by his slave, Sally Hemings, that she bore him seven children. Van Buren’s vice- president, Col. Richard Mentor Johnson, lived with an octoroon slave woman as congressman and senator a five- minute walk from the slave market in Washington for 25 years. Presidents Grover Cleveland and Warren Harding sired children out of wedlock; the extra- marital, pre- presidential affairs of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower almost broke up their marriages, which would have disqualified them for the presidency (and FDR revived the relationship in his third term). Teddy Kennedy was considered a serious candidate for president even after he drunkenly drove his car into a pond, drowning a female assistant, and left the scene of the accident. The Trump video from 11 years ago was tawdry and contemptible, as he has acknowledged, but has nothing to do with being president."
But that's a lot of of disgusting behaviour from presidents in the past.

It's important to speak out against abortion and euthanasia

This article from LifeSiteNews makes a lot of sense to me. It says that people who die from abortion and euthanasia can't complain about having been aborted or euthanized. Because they're dead.
"Abortion and euthanasia are ideal social causes and ideal business ventures for one very obvious reason: their clients can’t speak out against them, because they’re dead. Conveniently, neither those who have been aborted nor those who have been euthanized are available to write reviews on how those procedures turned out for them.  All the flowery euphemisms about “rights” and “dignity” can stand virtually unopposed because the people who have succumbed to these services are dead.  No one will post bad reviews or file lawsuits over your product if the product ensures that your customers will be dead by the time they’re qualified to write a review or file a lawsuit."
In Canada we have both legal abortion and legal euthanasia. And the people most affected can't say anything because they're dead. I guess that's why it is so important for live people to speak out against abortion and euthanasia.

"Too much self-centered attitude, you see, brings, you see, isolation. Result: loneliness, fear, anger. The extreme self-centered attitude is the source of suffering." Dalai Lama

How to fight error

"Fight all error, but do it with good humour, patience, kindness and love. Harshness will damage your own soul and spoil the best cause."

How true freedom dies

"To claim the right to abortion, infanticide and euthanasia, and to recognize that right in law, means to attribute to human freedom a perverse and evil significance: that of an absolute power over others and against others. This is the death of true freedom: "Truly, truly, I say to you, every one who commits sin is a slave to sin" (Jn 8:34)."
Pope John Paul II, EVANGELIUM VITAE

Do it anyway

"People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway." Saint Mother Teresa

Truth is immortal and lies die a quick death

"God instilled in man the desire for truth. This is why man thirsts for the Truth and despises falsehoods. Truth, like Justice is connected to Love and Love has a Price. Truth always unites people, it moves them. The weight of Truth frightens and unmasks lies; lies of little people, people who are scared. The continuous battle against Truth had gone on for ages, but Truth is immortal, and lies die a quick death. Hence comes the saying as told by Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski: one needs only a few people to tell the Truth. Christ has chosen but a few to declare the Truth."
Blessed Jerzy Popieluszko
